AAPI Women Lead · Fall 2026 Campaign
For nearly a decade, AAPI Women Lead has shown up for survivors of violence, for our communities, and for a world where Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women, girls, and gender-expansive people can live with safety, dignity, and power.
We need to be honest with you about where we are today. This year, political attacks, shrinking institutional funding, and rising community need have created a $350,000 gap. We cannot afford to lose ground, not when our work is more critical than ever.
Every gift counts, no matter the size. If a partnership level is a better fit for you or your organization, keep reading. Be relentless with us.

Our reach
From our 2024 Impact Report and our community: a national research report built with six ANHPI organizations, a Community Care video series, digital education that reaches hundreds of thousands, and an annual conference that fills the room. This is what your gift keeps going.

Why now
AAPI Women Lead is a queer, feminist, survivor-led, and former sex-worker-led intergenerational organization working to end violence against Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women, girls, and non-binary communities. We do this through survivor-centered storytelling, community-driven research and education, and culturally rooted healing and wellness programs.
In 2024 we raised $435,772 and spent $771,597 on programs, research, and community care; our reserves carried the difference. Since then, funders have closed doors, sunsetted portfolios, or stopped funding organizations like ours. We have had to rely on our community now more than ever. Closing this gap protects the staff, the programs, and the physical presence in Oakland Chinatown that survivors count on.
ImReady 2026, our 8th annual conference on Saturday, October 10, is this year’s benefit. Every ticket, partnership, and gift counts toward the gap.

Grassroots giving
We understand that not everybody can give at the larger levels. We know that because most of our support comes from grassroots individuals who believe in our mission. But we need you more than ever as well. Consider a one-time donation.
Your donation is a tax-deductible contribution to AAPI Women Lead, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Federal tax ID 36-5065274.

Our work
This work has never been just about responding to crisis. It is about building power through research, shifting narratives, and creating spaces for healing that center our communities. We are building the infrastructure for community care, on our own terms.
Research and education
Research and Education for Advocacy and Liberation: the first ANHPI community-driven, survivor-centered research and education institute. Using Intergenerational Participatory Action Research, we train cohorts of researchers across the U.S. and its territories.
Our latest study, Naming Our Rage, Building Our Power, found that 62.5% of AAPI women have experienced at least one form of gender-based violence. 93.5% reported sexual harassment; 67.7% reported sexual assault.
Our newest platform for shifting narratives, featuring artists, activists, and thought leaders including Terisa Siagatonu, Leo Sheng, Amanda Seales, Anna Cho, and Dr. Lily Wong.
Listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
This year we expanded our survivor health and healing work into Rooted to Rise, and our cultural narrative work into the Our Stories, Our Power multimedia initiative. We have reached hundreds of thousands of people through digital content and served over 4,000 people since we began. See our healing and wellness work.

Partnership levels
These are big asks, and we do not expect anyone to make them through a web form. Reach out and we will arrange your giving together: a one-time gift, a multi-year legacy partnership, in-kind support, or a payment plan at whatever level is right for you.
Each level funds a specific program and comes with seats and recognition at ImReady 2026, our 8th annual conference on Saturday, October 10 in Oakland.
All partners receive prominent recognition across our events, digital platforms, and materials. Corporate and small-business partners also receive employee engagement opportunities, co-branding on programs, and a post-event impact report with photos and quotes.

A final word
AAPI Women Lead was built from pain and transformed into power. Dr. Connie Wun and Jenny Wun, sisters and daughters of refugees, started this organization with a credit card and a vision. They believed then, and we know now, that when we tell our stories on our own behalf, conduct our own research, and root our collective wellness in both contemporary and traditional healing practices, we reclaim our power.
This funding gap is a threat. It is also an opportunity to prove our community is unbreakable.
Be relentless with us.
